Titsa resets from today the daily trips to the Teide National Park. The president of the company and Minister of Mobility, Enrique Arriaga, highlights that “the service increases with the growth in demand from residents and tourists”. In addition, it points out that “this measure contributes to reducing the environmental pressure generated by the private vehicle.”
The daily trips of lines 342 and 348 connect the National Park with Costa Adeje and Puerto de la Cruz, respectively.
Arriaga values: “We want both residents and visitors to enjoy the island’s tourist area par excellence, but with responsibility and therefore we prioritize public transport over private vehicles.”
For his part, the insular director of Mobility, José Alberto León, assures that “Titsa’s services are gradually adapting to the new normal.” This is the meaning of “reinforcing those routes that experience greater passenger demand, either with the reactivation of lines that were suspended during the health pandemic or with the increase in departures.” Those responsible for the area argue that the Teide It is a very popular route throughout the year “not only among those who visit us, but also among those who live here and want to go hiking, cycling or simply visiting the National Park.”
Line 342, with a cost from 6.05 euros, will have a departure from Costa Adeje at 09:15 hours and the return at 15:15 hours (from El Portillo). For its part, the 348, whose price will be from 4.10 euros, will depart from Puerto de la Cruz at 9:30 am and will return at 3:55 pm (from the Parador).

On December 4, mountaineers and hikers will do a new cleaning around the Refuge
New cleaning.
Without leaving the Teide National Park, it should be noted that hikers and mountaineers, mostly common in the environment, will carry out a new cleaning around the Altavista Refuge on December 4. The director of the Park, Manuel Durbán, has authorized the Mountaineering Federation to undertake the action with access to the trails of the Mirador de la Fortaleza, Montaña Blanca and La Rambleta. About twenty people – with all health measures for covid-19 – will lead the initiative. It is a repetition because in August there was a rampage at the same point. This is how the veteran hiker Pedro Millán summarized it at the time: “Shocked by the volume and quantity of garbage that we find in our most precious Natural Monument.”
