The Municipal Public Library of Santiago del Teide participates in the project “Time and Rhythm at Home”

The Municipal Public Library of Santiago del Teide is one of the 3 libraries in Tenerife benefiting from the 2nd Edition of the project “Time and Rhythm at home”, created and produced by 4Bichos and sponsored by the ICDC of the Government of the Canary Islands.

This project consists of a series of free reading animation workshops, offered to families with children between 2 and 10 years of age, whose theme focuses on helping the little ones to understand and manage the passage of time, guided by accompanying stories and workshop sessions in livestreaming, where families, from the privacy of their homes, will be able to develop different pedagogical tools that are very useful to work on a day-to-day basis with their little ones.

The workshops offered are: “Perpetual weekly calendar” aimed at families with children from 2 to 4 years old, “Perpetual annual calendar” for families with children between 2 and 6 years old and “Station Table (winter)” families with children from 4 to 10 years, with which the concepts will be addressed from the unit “day”, through “week, month, year and seasons”.

Registrations will be managed by the Library staff and will be open from today with limited places.

As of Monday, November 29, the “KITS” for each workshop can be collected at the Library headquarters, with all the necessary materials to make the craft at home. These include a QR code that will give access to the pre-recorded and directed workshop session in livestreaming, which will be hosted and active for those registered., from December 1 to 6in the private channel of 4bichos, a period in which families will be able to manage their time to develop the activity.

The commitment consists of sharing the result and the experience through https://www.facebook.com/tiempoyritmoencasa, created only for this project, with the aim of being able to make an assessment of its repercussion and as an execution memory.
