
SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 23 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The management of Pevolca has lifted the confinement ordered yesterday in the municipality of Tazacorte, which affected some 3,000 people, when verifying that there is no health condition in the area due to the gases emitted in the contact of the lava with the sea, according to has informed the Coordinating Center of Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
This decision has been taken in application of the Special Plan for Civil Protection and Attention to Emergencies due to Volcanic Risk in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands (Pevolca) and by virtue of the powers established by the Directorate of this Plan.
Thus, once it has been confirmed that there is no impact on the population as a result of the arrival of the wash from zone number 7 to the sea in the coastal area of the municipality of Tazacorte, the completion of the confinement of San Borondón, Tazacorte and the one scattered from El Cardón to Camino Los Palomares in the north.
