Last Thursday, the Governing Council of the Autonomous Organization of Festivities and Recreational Activities (OAFAR) of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council approved the bases of participation and registration deadlines in the competitions of Carnival queens 2022, in its infantile, adult and elderly modalities.
With the bases approved, the OAFAR has proceeded to the opening of the registration period for these three galas. Specifically, from today, Monday until January 10, the registrations corresponding to the queen contests may be formalized.
The Fairgrounds will be the stage where these events will be held, beginning with the Gala for the Election of the Infant Queen on Sunday, February 13; the Queen of the Elders of the Carnival of ‘Science Fiction’ will be known on Wednesday, February 16; while the Gala for the Election of the Adult Queen will be held on Wednesday, February 23.
The Party Councilor, Alfonso Cabello, explained that the galas “will not have limitations on the number of candidates” and added that they are working “very hard” to make it a showcase “not only for Carnival, but also thinking about designers and the companies that are committed to this type of show ”.
