A 52-year-old man has been seriously injured while paragliding, when he hit the side of the mountain near the beach of Las Teresitas, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has reported the Emergency Coordinator Center 112.
The paraglider was rescued by firefighters with the help of ropes and taken to a safe area, where he was treated by personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service, after which he was transferred to La Candelaria Hospital.
The accident took place at 4:19 p.m. and the injured man, who suffered serious injuries, is a German national.
