2,000 counterfeit items seized and seven people arrested in the south of Tenerife



The National Police have arrested seven people of different nationalities – three Spanish, one Chinese, one Pakistani and one Indian – for the alleged responsibility of individual crimes against industrial property.

The events began on November 10 when the National Police established a security device in Adeje and Arona aimed at preventing and preventing the sale of counterfeit products from prestigious brands.

In the device they had the participation of several experts of those brands, who accompanied the agents in the practice of the proceedings they carried out.

The national police arrested seven people and intervened more than 2,000 products of prestigious brands such as sunglasses, clothing or electronic devices, apparently fake.

These products, if legal, would reach a value of more than 200,000 euros in the market.

The actions carried out, through the report made for this purpose, were brought to the attention of the competent judicial authority.

The actions were carried out by National Police from the Judicial Police Brigade of the Local Police Station of the South Tenerife Police.
