The Cabildo will contribute 80% of the cost of this action, that is, 344,449 euros, while the City Council of Santiago del Teide takes care of the rest, which amounts to 86,112 euros.
This future municipal infrastructure will expand the leisure offer with a more playful space, equipped with areas for games, projection and Internet connection. It will be a separate environment from the previous one dedicated more to training, from which the young people of Santiago del Teide will be able to benefit without having to make long trips.
In addition, the work phases into which this intervention is divided are planned in such a way as to achieve a modern urban space that is integrated with the annexed square and with the surrounding environment. The municipal government indicates that it is intended to harmonize the buildings with their surroundings and adapt them to a more modern and attractive urban reality.
The proposed interior reform tries to achieve a place with a distribution in line with its uses and needs, more streamlined for both the youth center and the club for the elderly.
The project idea is to generate a new compact and harmonious volume with a modern and joint image of these facilities buildings. During the day, it will provide that compact image and at night it will have a much more porous and open appearance as the slat facades function as lanterns of light.
