SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Hoteles Escuela de Canarias (Hecansa), a center attached to the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Government of the Canary Islands, celebrates together with the Group of Logistical Support No. 81, of the Army, the ‘Campaign Food Days’.
At the meeting, which started this Monday, fourteen professionals from the group and students from the Hotel Escuela de Santa Cruz, in Tenerife, participate in a series of training activities related to the hospitality industry and specific campaign menus.
The conference will be held until Friday at the Hotel Escuela de Santa Cruz and at the La Cuesta Barracks.
This past Tuesday, chef Santiago Evangelista, a specialist in hospitality and with extensive professional experience in companies and in gastronomic advice for public and private institutions, offered a master class with the participation of Hecansa students and hospitality professionals from the Units Logistics Support.
In it, the menu that was offered at dinner at the Hotel Escuela Santa Cruz was prepared.
For this Wednesday, Hecansa students will visit the AALOG81 Barracks, where they will receive training talks to later participate in the preparation of a ration menu for lunch, in which all the military from the barracks will be present.
On Thursday, representatives of Hoteles Escuela de Canarias will be part of the jury of the ‘IV JJAA Brilog 2021 Gastronomic Contest’.
This contest seeks to evaluate the knowledge acquired during the ‘Campaign Feeding Days’, as well as the evolution of the prepared menus.
The celebration of these days is part of the complementary training of Hecansa students, a real learning experience, according to the offer of the Dual Professional Training Programs: Food and Beverage Management (face-to-face and online), Kitchen Management, Gastronomy and Hotel Management Services.
Hoteles Escuela de Canarias also offers specialization courses and other learning experiences that seek to continue fostering local talent and professionalizing the hotel, tourism and restaurant sectors.
In addition, it offers its own scholarship service aimed at students and those who want to continue their training.
