SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife, together with the Social Council of the University of La Laguna (ULL), has opened this Wednesday the doors of ‘Empleoland’, a fair aimed at obtaining employment or generating sales projects, which will be developed days 17 and 18 at the Fairgrounds and in which more than 20 companies participate.

With this fair, indicated the insular counselor for Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action, Carmen Luz Baso, “we seek to create a collaborative context that favors networking, where the exchange of information, strategies, innovation and professional opportunities takes place. , of debate, of business meeting, of training opportunities, of insertion possibilities, of improvement of employability, of search for a professional vocation, of guidance for entrepreneurship and internationalization of companies “.

The inauguration of this fair had a message from the Minister of Employment, Nadia Calviño, who said that “the labor market is progressing, with Social Security affiliation data reaching the level of before the arrival of the pandemic, and it is thanks to the measures applied since March of last year “.

Now, he said, “we must be concerned that it is a sustained, sustainable and fair recovery”, and recalled that initiatives such as ‘Empleoland’ are “good news, both for young people seeking work at the fair and for entrepreneurs, who They need workers, and this event will provide great opportunities for both of them. “

The Head of Employment of the Cabildo also pointed out that “the Fairgrounds will serve these two days as a meeting place for the entire public and private sector around employment as an engine of the ability of citizens to develop their life projects with economic autonomy and progress. personal”.

The rector of the University of La Laguna, Rosa Aguiar, pointed out that this fair is “a very intelligent synergy of two institutions concerned with the same objective, the future of the young people of the Canary Islands, it is a different job fair, which in the same This space brings together all the agents involved in employability, from the entities that train people to the companies that generate employment and citizens “.

MEETING POINT

The president of the Social Council of the University of La Laguna, María Dolores Pelayo, argued that “the fair is a meeting point for more things, but the main one is to address one of the best formulas to match the problems of young people and entrepreneurs with the needs of workers in companies, forums, here and outside of here. “

In his opinion, “we cannot forget the international vocation of the Canaries, and it is an opportunity to train, prepare and find a place in the world.”

Admission will be free without prior registration and people interested in participating will only have to register for free through the website Empleoland.com or go directly to the Tenerife Fairgrounds in case of attending the Employability Fair.
