SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 12 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the National Police arrested a 19-year-old young man on November 9 as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against public health committed in the municipality of Adeje, in Tenerife.
The events occurred during the night of that day in the Las Verónicas area. A National Police patrol observed two young men who, upon noticing the police presence, fled the scene.
In order to find out the reason for their escape, they followed them and, once they reached them, they proceeded to identify them since the explanations they provided were not reasonable.
In the superficial control of his personal effects, the agents found hidden in the ankle of one of the two young men a hashish plate weighing around 100 grams.
Consequently, the national police officers proceeded to arrest him, and he was transferred together with the seized drug to the police station.
The action is based on the devices established by the National Police in the south of the island of Tenerife to prevent the consumption and sale of narcotic substances at retail.
The actions were carried out by national police officers from the South Tenerife National Police Station.
