Agents of the National Police have arrested three men between 52 and 67 years old, with police records, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health committed in the Las Verónicas area, in the south of Tenerife.
The detainees, who allegedly shared the tasks of surveillance and sale of the narcotic substance, were surprised by the agents on Avenida Santiago Puig in the town of Arona, at dawn on November 7.
The three men were next to the terrace of a closed restaurant from which they allegedly carried out their activities.
In the police action, 17 grams of cocaine, 4 grams of heroin, 20 grams of ecstasy, 4 grams of crack, 16 grams of hashish and 42 grams of marijuana were seized, all substances presented for immediate sale.
Likewise, 480 euros in fractional currency and hundreds of cylinders of nitrous oxide or laughing gas were seized, used in certain environments for recreational purposes and that can cause damage to health.
The detainees, once the appropriate investigation procedures had been carried out, were placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority, which determined the entry into prison for two of them.
Police action is based on the devices established by the National Police to prevent the consumption and sale of narcotic substances at retail on public roads. The actions have been carried out by national police officers from the South Tenerife National Police Station.
