The mayor and the councilor (d), along with the singer Claudia Basterra, yesterday at the presentation.

The celebration of White Night of La Laguna this 2021 It will be extended for a week, from the 27th of this month to December 4, and will include, for the first time, other parts of the municipality beyond the town. The initiative will have an extensive program of some 300 cultural, sports and leisure activities for all ages, in limited spaces and with capacity control to avoid crowds and guarantee health security measures.

Among them, stands out the celebration, on Thursday, December 2 at 7:00 p.m., in the Plaza del Cristo, of “a concert dedicated to La Palma, in which we will bring La Palma groups to enjoy with them and also contribute our grain of sand to the palm economy ”, announced yesterday the Councilor for Commerce, María José Roca, during the presentation of the meeting, which has a budget of around 400,000 euros.
The event was also attended by the mayor, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, and the composer and singer from Tenerife Claudia Basterra, who will participate in this edition and who performed a song.

The mayor appreciated the work of the councilor and her team in organizing this edition. “We will have a magical night that is going to be lived for a week in a decided bet for the revitalization of our trade,” he stressed.

For her part, María José Roca affirmed that “both the commercial sector, citizens and the Corporation have been waiting for two years for this to be possible again.” “All this effort has a clear purpose, to support the reactivation of economic activity and encourage responsible consumption in local commerce,” he added.

The councilor explained that there are about 300 activities planned and that “the main open space for concerts will be the Plaza del Cristo, all with limited capacity.” “Some of the artists that we already have confirmed are Kanka, Carmen Boza, Mi Capitán, Anni B Sweet, Nil Moliner and Claudia Basterra,” he said.

Activities already confirmed include the World Heritage Cities concert, theater, lyrical music, dance, gastronomic exhibitions, swing workshops, live jazz sessions, the Island Craft Fair or storytelling, among many others. Museums, cultural spaces and places of heritage interest will program different activities and the Casa de Los Sabandeños will open its doors. There will be interpretive visits to Los Lavaderos del Puente de San Francisco and a great recreational and sports event for young people in Parque de la Vega.

Outside the town, the Museum of Science and the Cosmos will offer a series of concerts, there will be activities in the Las Mantecas park and the Tranvía square in La Cuesta, Punta del Hidalgo will host a sample of the International Environmental Film Festival of Canarias and the Unión Tejina Theater will offer several theatrical proposals.
