Arrested in Ofra for throwing a TV, a laundry sink and other belongings from his apartment into the street

National Police agents detained a 51-year-old man with a police record in the Santacrucero neighborhood of Ofra, as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of threats and damages.

The national policemen were required to move to the Ofra neighborhood. There an individual threw different domestic objects onto the public highway from the apartment in which he lived.

Once in place they verified the veracity of the request. On the street there were household goods and appliances such as a television, bottles and tools. Even a wash basin had been thrown into the inner courtyard of the building, fortunately causing only material damage.

This individual, upon seeing the national police, brandishing a knife, threatened to set fire to the building and take his own life and that of the agents who might intervene.

Given the impossibility of reasoning with this person, given the concurrent circumstances, specialized agents of the National Police entered the house and detained him, taking away the knife he was holding.

The actions have been carried out by national police officers from the Citizen Security Brigade of the Provincial Police Station of the National Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
