Its president, Alicia Rodríguez, points out that «Without a physical headquarters where it can continue to operate as it has been doing so far, Inclúyeme could close its doors definitely and in less than four weeks. Given the urgency of the case, the association has sent an urgent communication to each of the southern municipalities, “whose Social Services benefit from the solidarity work provided by Inclúyeme.”
Since March 2020, this association has met the demand for basic needs such as food and hygiene of more than 3,000 families, derived from the municipal Social Services with which it collaborates. “If no urgent response is received in the next few days,” they are required to close immediately. For this reason, they have requested the mediation and collaboration of the consistories to provide a place “that allows us to continue developing the work of giving a helping hand to the most vulnerable families in our towns.”
The association’s board and its volunteers they appreciate any help and ask the municipalities «to take into account the serious consequences that the closing of Inclúyeme can bring for the most disadvantaged ».
