The Court of Instruction Number 2 of La Laguna has agreed the provisional dismissal of the proceedings of the ‘Cranes case’ -the Supreme already did the same with Senator Fernando Clavijo– which was being pursued against the former mayor of La Laguna, José Alberto Díaz (CC), the councilor Antonio Pérez Godiño and the security technician Rosario Hernández.
The secretary general of the Canary Islands Coalition in La Laguna, Fran Hernández, has been very satisfied with the sentence that in his opinion goes to show that the case “was orchestrated with interest” to discredit the former president of the Canary Islands Government, Fernando Clavijo; the former mayor of La Laguna, José Alberto Díaz; former councilman Antonio Pérez Godiño and several municipal officials.
This sentence, they indicate in a note, “puts each one in his place”, although they remember “the years of interested signaling by those who accused for political purposes and that have caused much regret to those investigated and their families. ”
In addition, they point out that the “solvency” of the nationalist leaders in their management at the head of the City Council is confirmed “against the political manipulation” of people who today are at the head of the municipal government.
“It is shown that there has never been a case and that the management of the municipal crane service was adjusted, at all times, to the current legal system. The Supreme Court has already filed the case against Fernando Clavijo for not appreciating any type of crime, as now with Díaz and Pérez Godiño, as well as with municipal officials, “they point out from CC.
The general secretary of the lagoon nationalists considers that “now it would be necessary for the accusers to come out publicly to apologize for their outrages, both those who wronged them, as well as the municipality itself for judicializing political life and tarnishing the name of the city, as well as abandoning their public charges”.
