SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Nov. 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the National Police have arrested a 24-year-old young man in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with multiple police records, as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of exhibitionism committed on October 31 in the heart of La Laguna.
The events took place at noon on Calle Herradores. An individual approached a mother and her four-year-old daughter to ask for money. Faced with the mother’s refusal to give her alms, this man approached the girl shouting obscenities at her, while pulling down his pants in front of her, showing her his genitals. Hearing how the mother called for help, the exhibitionist ran away from the place.
The agents of the National Police, after having knowledge of these facts and of the author’s physical description, were able to connect him with a 24-year-old young man, with the same characteristics and clothing, who had been intervened with a dangerous object hours before.
On the same day the crime was committed, at 9:00 p.m., the alleged perpetrator was detained in Santa Cruz de la Granja Park by the national police, who transferred him to the police station.
The detainee, together with the statement made for this purpose, was made available to the competent judicial authority. The actions have been carried out by national police officers of the Citizen Security Brigade of the Provincial Police Station of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
