The cemeteries of the whole Island were filled again yesterday, all Saints Day, of people who came to frame the tombstones of their absent loved ones and leave them flowers. A day in which good weather accompanied those who came to celebrate this tradition, which is maintained year after year and against which even the pandemic cannot, with a continuous influx of visitors to the cemeteries for days.
In this sense, the cemeteries throughout the Island established special hours on the occasion of this holiday, which this year has coincided with a bridge, which has led to the opening hours from Friday until yesterday, trying to avoid this that there were agglomerations of both visitors and vehicles.
In addition, in San Juan de la Rambla yesterday Los Santitos returned, a custom that consists of the streets of the old town being filled with minors carrying wicker baskets decorated by them.
On the other hand, in La Laguna, the municipal bands made small performances by the five cemeteries of the municipality.
