Las Palmas C returned to the path of victory by defeating Tenerife B (0-1) in the derby. A solitary goal by Andy tipped the balance in favor of Yoni Oujo’s team, in a match dominated by the blue and white subsidiary, and in which Jeremy missed a penalty, in the extra time, and Omar the subsequent rejection, who could give a point to the painting by Leandro Cabrera ‘Mazinho’.
During the first 45 minutes, it was Tenerife B that carried the weight of the game, which allowed them to enjoy abundant opportunities to open the contest. For its part, the squad led by Yoni Oujo was well planted in its plot of the Geneto-Los Baldíos enclosure, although without depth to approach the dominions of the blue and white Medina with danger.
When the game had not reached minute ten, the ‘Mazinho’ team enjoyed their first approach, with a shot from Matías, behind the wall with David, who brushed against Cendón’s goal post. Shortly after, the one who proved his fortune was the named David, who after receiving a pass from Dylan, got rid of his mark with a cut and launched a shot, which also went very close to the wood.
After halfway through the first act, an auction by Omar, after Eleder’s service, did not find the three sticks of Cendón’s goal. After half an hour, who tried his luck was Dylan, with a kick, from outside the area, without consequences on the yellow frame. Before the break, the aforementioned Eleder, after triangulation with Lie, was about to give the Blue and Whites the first goal.
Tenerife B forgave in the first half, and after the break a second yellow subsidiary was seen, much more plugged in, who took a step forward with the purpose of fighting the Blue and Whites. This second period started with a shot from Gran Canaria Edián, from outside the area, which went over the crossbar.
The ‘Mazinho’ team paid for the efforts made during the first half, but despite this they continued to approach the dominions of Cendón, especially with a shot from Aythami, which was scored by touching the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Yoni Oujo’s men responded by getting what was ultimately the winning goal, through Andy, who took advantage of a commotion in the local area to beat the goalkeeper Medina.
In the lengthening, Tenerife B caressed the equalizer. First, with a frank header from Jeremy, after Martinez’s center, from the right, which went high. And then with a penalty committed by Javi Pipa Sobre Alassan, which was thrown by Jeremy himself, but which Javi Cendón guessed. In the continuation of the play, the yellow goalkeeper’s rejection was finished off over the crossbar by Tenerife’s Omar.
