SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Canary Islands Public Services has signed a preliminary agreement with the Canary Islands Health Service (SCS) in order to improve the working conditions of the staff of Public Health Inspectors, a document that was signed at the request of this federation in which included a series of aspects to be negotiated as a matter of urgency.
Likewise, and despite this approach, from Public Services the strike notice presented this Monday is maintained and that, if this preliminary agreement is not effective, it will start on November 18 until November 30, according to reports from the UGT union. .
This base document includes the development of a regulation for the exercise of the function of Public Health inspector in the scope of the SCS. For this, a specific working group will be created. Regarding the recognition of specific complements, the SCS undertakes to promote, in the remainder of the year, the specific modification of the government agreement of July 9, 2018 that establishes the general guidelines on human resources management of the General Administration of the Canary Islands in order to establish equality with the rest of the inspectors.
Likewise, the SCS director must present to the working group a productivity plan to encourage the extraordinary use of private vehicles for the exercise of their functions. A unified proposal for working hours and the control system must also be presented in order to solve night services in slaughterhouses. Regarding telework, the current regulations will be applied and applicable to the rest of the workers belonging to the General Administration.
In the part related to the coverage of positions and substitutions, in the first fortnight of November the Public Function will be requested to delegate to Human Resources the competences related to the appointment of interim and substitutions. In the same way, a commitment is generated for the study of the increase in the workforce.
The professional career will be agreed within the working group and a draft will be created with the objectives and indicators to be taken into consideration in this regard.
Finally, the commitment to study current needs in terms of materials and workspaces is established.
