The City Council of Los Realejos began in January 2012 the arduous administrative procedure to update its General Management Plan (PGO), the planning that will mark the urban development, the housing stock, the future of agricultural and livestock land and the new infrastructures that they could become a reality in the coming decades. After almost ten years of paperwork and bureaucracy, the City Council faces the final stretch of a PGO that plans to create up to nine urban parks in some 400,000 square meters of expanding areas. The mayor of Los Realejos, Manuel Domínguez (PP), emphasizes that these parks “will provide a green outlet contiguous to residential areas throughout the municipality.”
