SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Minister of Public Works, Transport and Housing of the Government of the Canary Islands, Sebastián Franquis, has announced that next week the first 18 homes will be delivered for people affected by the eruption of the La Palma volcano, of which 13 will be in Tazacorte and 5 in Fuencaliente, being acquired for an amount greater than 1.1 million.
This has been stated in the parliamentary committee, in response to questions from deputies Jorge González (PSOE) and Luz Reverón (PP) about the characteristics of the lot of about 100 homes that will be acquired and offered to the evicted people and about the Short-term measures that are planned to be implemented to provide a housing solution for the affected population.
The counselor indicated that next week it is expected to sign the deeds for the definitive acquisition of the first homes and added that the social reports are already made so that 18 families can leave the hotels where they are staying and occupy the first buildings.
