!Halloween it is celebrated in great in Tenerife! The official date of Halloween is 31 October but it is usually celebrated a few days before. Although many still consider that this festival does not have to take root in the Canary Islands – and they see it almost as an offense to tradition since the All Saints’ Day (November 1) or the Day of the Dead or Dead (November 2), parties of recollection in which we try to remember loved ones who are no longer with us- the truth is that more and more people are taking advantage of the eve of the holiday of November 1 to go out partying, give more than one scare and ask that trick or treat? And this year, in addition, the holiday falls on Sunday being a holiday on Monday, so there are parties that will start from Friday.

A) Yes, on the island parties, events, shows and even hiking trails are organized in different places both in the north and in the south, especially in those tourist municipalities or those in the metropolitan area, which use the typical Halloween decoration in stores and shop windows as one more dynamic element of the commercial areas.

In the south of the island, mainly in Adeje and Arona, you can find decorated shops and restaurants with their staff in costume during Halloween. But this is not only exclusive to places where the clientele is foreign, the fashion has been spreading to other parts of the island geography.

Parties in the south

Tramps Nightclub

A very popular nightclub among tourists on Halloween is Tramps Nightclub, which is located in Las Américas, in Verónicas. They tend to have their own Halloween theme and spend a lot of time decorating. The music that plays in Tramps is mainly House and R&B and the club is very popular with young people.

Achaman nightclub

If you want to celebrate Halloween in the style of Tenerife, perhaps this nightclub is the right place in Costa Adeje. Every year Achaman organizes a great Halloween party with great Latin music.

Papagayo Beach Club

Here they usually have a big Halloween party every year. There are DJs and most of the time House music plays.

Club Magic Lounge

The Magic Club is located in Las Américas and is probably the scariest place in Tenerife on Halloween. It is an exclusive place where they take great care in decorating. The average age of the clientele is over 30 years old.

Although all the discos and clubs on the island usually hold events to celebrate this Anglo-Saxon party, remember that this year, although some party rooms have been able to reopen, dances are not allowed. So it is better that this year you wear a real dead-dead costume, so as not to shake your skeleton this time.

Halloween costume

Almost everyone dresses up at a Halloween party in Tenerife. Clubs also expect you to go in costume and often reward you for doing so.

The City Council of El Sauzal organizes various events for all audiences in the Plaza del Príncipe, with children’s Halloween activities (crafts, cooking and face painting) at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31. At 6.30 pm: Game of terror (treasure hunt); and at 8:00 pm, performance by DJs Jorge D and Pedry (dancing not allowed). In addition to a hiking trail the day before on Mount Ravelo.

On La Orotava, Night of the deceased at the Museum of Ibero-American Crafts (Mait), framed in the program ‘Las Noches del Mait 2021’, by the group from the Adeje Folklore School, Mariachi Atlántico.

On The lagoon, different venues also hold parties as well as in the Aguere Cultural space, on Herradores street, with Apocalypse Halloween.

On Santa Cruz There are also activities scheduled for Sunday, October 31, such as at the Carnival House, which becomes “The Enchanted House of Carnival” with a wide variety of activities with workshops, contests and children’s games, however the Councilor for Parties, Alfonso Cabello, remember that Halloween parties are prohibited in the premises of the Carnival groups, while noting that the Chicharrero Town Hall works on the design of a security device for next Sunday, October 31 to ensure that this type of activity is not carried out in municipally-owned headquarters.
