Half of them, 18, have been produced in Gran Canaria, nine in Tenerife, five in Lanzarote, three in Fuerteventura and one in La Palma. 66% are of family origin (13) and social (11), although the most numerous in terms of associated cases are framed within the social health field -the one referred to above-, and health, after notifying one -also with family branching-, in Hospiten Sur, in Tenerife, with 16 people affected, including five patients and seven workers.
The outbreaks registered in the family, social and work areas have, in general, between three and six associated cases, except for a family one that affects different homes in Gran Canaria, which has 10 people affected.
The islands have 886 active cases of Covid-19, -36 more in the last day-, of which 796, 90%, are at home with mild or asymptomatic symptoms; and 90 hospitalized.
Of the three outbreaks produced in socially vulnerable groups reported among people arriving in the Canary Islands in patera or cayucos, two were registered in Gran Canaria and one in Fuerteventura.
In the educational field, there are two outbreaks with family branches, one in Gran Canaria, with five associated cases, two of them students; and another in Tenerife, in this case also with labor ramification and with seven affected.
These weekly outbreaks must be included in the outbreak reported yesterday at the Breña Alta Day Center, on La Palma, with family branches, and affecting ten people, five of them users of the center. All cases are in isolation and close contact tracing continues according to the planned protocol. This data will be incorporated into the statistical portal in the next few days, after its validation.
Regarding the old outbreaks, there are nine in follow-up, the most numerous being one with a family branch in Tenerife with 38 cases and two with a social origin in Gran Canaria, both with family branches, with eleven and ten cases, respectively.

The Canary Islands registered 89 infections yesterday, so that the cases of Covid-19 diagnosed in the pandemic amount to 96,881, of which 98% have overcome the infection -94,990-, after adding 53 medical discharges in the last 24 hours.
Regarding the positive patients of Covid-19 at present, they amount to 886, increasing this Wednesday by 36 more. Almost 90% of them -796- are at home with mild or asymptomatic symptoms; while 90 are hospitalized, 14 in the ICU -four less than the day before- and 76 -one less- on the ward. By islands, Tenerife has 404 active cases, adding 28 positive yesterday; Gran Canaria, 362 active, with 34 more; Lanzarote, with eight new cases, has 51 active; and Fuerteventura, with 19 more, has 63 assets. La Palma registers 10 positive and 12 active; while El Hierro and_La Gomera, without new infections, remain in one and three assets, respectively.
The cases of Covid-19 diagnosed in the pandemic amount to 96,881, of which 98% have overcome the infection -94,990-, after adding 53 medical discharges in the last 24 hours.
With no deaths in the last day, the number of fatalities since the health crisis began remains at 1,005 people, 416 women and 589 men.
About 84% immunization
The Canary Islands close to 84% of immunization against Covid-19, with 1,641,876 people who have already received the complete vaccination schedule -83.74% of the population over 12 years old-; while among those over 16, it amounts to almost 88%. The vaccination teams of the Canary Islands Health Service have administered a total of 3,152,156 doses of vaccines since the campaign began in December 2020. In the Archipelago there are already 1,670,193 people who have received at least one dose, which it represents 85.18% of the population over 12 years of age, ranking among the autonomous communities with the highest vaccination coverage rate. After the risk groups, which reach almost 100% of vaccination, the group with the highest immunization rate is those between 12 and 19 years of age, with 76.6% with a complete schedule. | MJH
