SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The arrangement of the cone of the Cumbre Vieja volcano has allowed the new lava flows to move through the previous flows, not doing any more damage and fundamentally feeding the original flow that dumps all the force, the energy, into the sea.
This has been reported by the technical director of the Special Plan for Civil Protection and Emergency Assistance for Volcanic Risk of the Canary Islands (Pevolca), Miguel Ángel Morcuende, who tonight has offered updated information on the situation of the eruption on the island of La Palma.
The director of Pevolca has indicated that the stream that moves north of the Todoque mountain is also fed and, even, the stream that is slightly further north and that runs through the south of the La Laguna mountain, although with less contribution than the previous two.
Miguel Ángel Morcuende has explained that what the lava has done is to try to cover all the islands that were being produced, that had been remaining between washes.
He also recalled that the road that yesterday had a significant detachment in the area between El Charco and Los Canarios, in Fuencaliente, has been cleaned today and access has already been allowed from 1:05 p.m. to the area of Puerto Naos and others. neighborhoods that need both cleaning of roofs and collection of belongings.
