SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 25 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Aena reported this Monday, at the forty-second monitoring meeting of the Acoustic Insulation Plan, of the progress derived from the soundproofing actions carried out in buildings around the Tenerife North Airport-La Laguna City, among which stands out the completion of the acoustic insulation works in 96 more homes.
The amount of this action is 1,052,580 euros, adding a total of 1,073 soundproofed properties and 43 in execution.
Of the 1,073 homes, 989 belong to the municipality of La Laguna, 35 to Tacoronte and 49 to Tegueste.
At the meeting held this Monday, electronically, the attendees – representatives of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITERD), the Government of the Canary Islands and city councils of La Laguna and Tegueste – were informed of these and other developments such as the inclusion in the Acoustic Insulation Plan of 38 new homes, which have proven that they meet the necessary requirements and in which the acoustic measurements will be carried out, and the request for another 4, pending submission of the documentation.
They have also been informed of the finding in 51 more homes, where these measurements have already been made, the need to carry out the relevant soundproofing actions, which implies the realization of the corresponding projects and budgets.
Likewise, the approval of the amounts necessary to carry out actions on 3 buildings, works that must previously have both the agreement of the residents and the corresponding municipal permits.
The current census of properties included in the Noise Insulation Plan of the Tenerife North Airport-La Laguna City is 2,446, 2,200 corresponding to La Laguna, 115 to Tacoronte and 131 to Tegueste.
Until this Monday, a total of 1,510 requests have been received, so Aena recalls that there is still a significant number of residents who, having the right to request this type of action, have not yet done so.
