The mayor of Los Realejos, Manuel Domínguez (PP), informs that the rehabilitation project will include “the resurfacing of the road, the replacement of deteriorated pavement and curbs, the provision of landscaped areas and their corresponding irrigation network, a new network of water supply, the improvement of the lighting network and new streetlights, and the long-awaited provision of the previously non-existent telecommunications network, with its connections ”.
The royal leader, who recently visited this area together with the area councilor, Carmen Rosa Pérez, acknowledged the “evident state of advanced deterioration that the pavement presents, as well as the irregularities in the state and finish of the existing steelwork, which affects accessibility. Added to that are the deficient service networks ”. According to the technical report of the Projects and Works Unit of the Los Realejos City Council, «the water supply network has obsolete facilities and in poor condition, in the same way that it is necessary to reorder the public lighting of the road to maximize its light efficiency, taking advantage of the intervention to introduce an irrigation network for green areas and to install the non-existent telecommunications networks ”.
The first phase of the intervention will focus on the section between the intersections of the road with Argentina and Santo Domingo streets, in its upper section, and with México street in the lower level. The work will continue in a descending direction.
