The Pevolca has activated new evacuations this Wednesday night in the municipalities of Los Llanos de Aridane and in Tazacorte due to the anticipation of the advance of the lava flows that run further northwest and their proximity to the boundary zone of the already evacuated perimeter.
It has been ordered for the neighborhoods of Las Martelas, in Los Llanos de Aridane, and those of Marina Alta, Marina Baja, La Condesa and Cuesta Zapata, in Tazacorte.
Specifically, evacuations have been carried out from the LP-213 highway at the junction with Camino Nicolás Brito Pais, heading north, to the junction with Camino Martelas de Abajo. In a scattered line, southwest direction, until the junction of the La Laguna-Tazacorte Highway (LP-215) with Cuesta Zapata.
At this point, in Cuesta Zapata, heading west, continuing along Camino Pintor Cándido Camacho Gómez until it joins Calle Ángel Santana López in a southwesterly direction to Carretera La Costa, joining the road that goes to the San Borondón viewpoint.
Starting at 8.30 pm, the people affected by this evacuation order have evacuated their homes, with their belongings and pets, and “go to the meeting points located,” explains Pevolca.
