SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 18 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Canary Islands have registered 57 new positives for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, so the total number of infected since the pandemic began is 96,117 people, according to the data updated every day by the Ministry of Education of the regional government.
The archipelago has 722 active cases (-45), of which 69 are hospitalized in the ward (-4) and 23 in the ICU (+1), and there have been no new deaths, so deaths remain at 998 .
By islands, Tenerife adds 22 new cases this Monday, which brings the accumulated to 45,936, with 344 active, and Gran Canaria, another 21, with 36,674 accumulated and 260 active.
Lanzarote has added 12 more cases, with a total number of 6,995 and 69 active, and Fuerteventura another three, with 4,529 accumulated and 45 active.
On the other hand, in the three ‘green islands’ no new cases are noted and they continue with 1,111, 467 and 404 in La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro, respectively.
The Accumulated Incidence stands at 15.51 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at 7 days and in 35 cases at 14 days and as of this Monday, 1,021,948 diagnostic tests have been carried out, with 5.9% positive.
