Finally a rush
Finally things happened. Finally a Canarian derby, plunged into mediocrity in recent times, left much more than an infamous fight not to lose. At last there was more football than talk, especially in the first half, as the players finally shone more than the exaggerated liturgy in the run-up to the Canarian rivalry duel. And finally the fans of UD Las Palmas could once again taste a victory against CD Tenerife in situ, something that had not happened for more than seven years, when Vicente Gómez dressed as a hero to bring ecstasy to Gran Canaria.
