SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, through the Autonomous Party and Recreational Activities Organization (OAFAR), will open the pre-registration for next year’s Carnival contests, dedicated to Science Fiction, tomorrow Friday. The period will remain open until October 22 at 12.00.

This pre-registration will be mandatory for all groups interested in participating in the Carnival 2022 contests and an essential requirement for returning to rehearsals. In the form, it will be essential to identify and appoint the figure of a COVID person in charge in each participating group, who will be the person who reports on the health guidelines and recommendations that will have to be followed in the test rooms.

Since last Wednesday the municipalities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, through their Party councilors, together with the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands, have set up a work table where they are coordinating joint actions to reactivate Christmas and Carnival activities, following the health guidelines as a result of the pandemic.

The party councilor, Alfonso Cabello, highlighted “the continuous communication that we are having with the groups during these days and that I am convinced will serve to facilitate the return to the activity of the Carnival groups, and with the guarantee of complying with the protocols that the health authorities mark us “.

“For the City Council, the health security of the nearly 10,000 people who make up the Carnival groups is a priority and we are working to shorten the deadlines for returning to activity, with November 1 as the start date of the trials,” he added Hair.

The adult and child murgas, rondallas, comparsas, musical groups, groups of elders, choreographic groups and groups of the Song of Laughter will have a total of 5 business days to formalize their pre-registration in the different contests, contests and events, which are held they will celebrate from next year.

The OAFAR will send from this Friday, via email, the pre-registration bulletins to the representatives of the formations interested in returning to the rehearsals and taking part in any of these events. Finally, once all the applications have been reviewed, each and every one of the groups will be contacted to agree on their testing possibilities and to continue advancing in the deadlines for the official opening of registration.
