Recently, the City Council of Santiago del Teide and the Hotel Barceló Santiago paid an emotional tribute to Mr. Bruno Thüring. Mr. Thüring has been faithful to the destination of Santiago del Teide for 30 years and more, specifically, to the Barceló Santiago hotel being his first arrival in January of 1991.
Given that loyalty to the municipality for so many years, the City Council, in the hands of its Councilor for Tourism, Luz Goretti Gorrín, as well as the director of the Barceló Santiago hotel, Julio Barrientos and members of the hotel’s person, was kind enough to pay them a small tribute and thank them for their confidence in our tourist destination.
In this sense, from municipal sources it is pointed out that the municipality of Santiago del Teide is an example of tourist loyalty throughout the Canary Islands since it is very difficult to find people like Mr. Thüring and many other examples that carry 30 and even 40 and close to 50 years visiting and staying as in a hotel in Santiago del Teide.
