APITEN has requested a subsidy for the complementary feeding of bees in the current year 2021 and convened on August 4 by the Area of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Island Council of Tenerife.
The objective of this subsidy is to cover the expenses for the acquisition of complementary foods, specific for bees, rich in sugars, proteins and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals), in order to improve their nutritional status, and in this way, preserve the Island beekeeping hut.
With this aid, approximately 10,400 hives will benefit, corresponding to more than 475 beekeeping farms integrated in APITEN and located on the island of Tenerife.
