SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A man has died after falling down a ravine in the El Contador mountain, in the municipality of Arico (Tenerife), as reported by the 112 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of the Canary Islands.
The events occurred on Sunday afternoon in the aforementioned place to where the necessary emergency resources were transferred, which, upon arrival at the place, could not locate the affected, so from the operating room, Maritime Rescue was activated, which mobilized his rescue helicopter, Helimer, equipped with a thermal camera for possible positioning, although it withdrew from the area due to the risk of power lines, without obtaining a search result.
For this reason, the displaced resources continued with the search by land and finally Civil Protection of Arico, with its drone unit, and the Tenerife Fire Department managed to locate the affected person, although he was already deceased.
In the search and rescue of the deceased, members of the Hunting Guards also participated, as well as the Civil Guard, who had to mobilize their GREIM unit to take charge of the man’s body and the corresponding procedures, while the Police Service was also activated. Canary Islands Emergency (SUC).
