
People with Intellectual Disability of school age need to obtain the necessary and complementary support to the services offered to them from educational centers, and the Jáslem association, included since 2021 in the Insular Ring of Social Policies, is in charge, through its Stimulation project , Training and Promotion of Autonomy in People with Intellectual Disabilities’ to respond to these needs.
Des de Jáslem values its participation in the Insular Ring of Social Policies considering that being integrated in it “makes it possible to reach more people, establish joint work networks with other associations and organizations, and consolidate jobs within the institution , thanks to the funding received ”.
The promotion of healthy habits, learning household chores, curricular support adapted to the needs of each person or social and community integration, are, among others, the objectives of this association. Its aid proposal is structured in a clearly preventive framework, which aims to achieve the autonomy and development of the people it serves.
To carry this out, professionals from pedagogy and speech therapy constantly work in the development of this work and together with other support professionals, in addition to collaborating in the generation of these learning, they accompany and guide the families and agents involved with the spirit of seeing the group towards which it is directed favored.
