SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Education and Youth area, has opened the deadline for the application corresponding to linguistic immersion scholarships, which can be registered until November 3.

On this occasion, three modalities are offered to study French, English and German in Canada, France, Ireland, the United States and Germany, and aimed at students in the third and fourth years of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) according to the option chosen.

The Minister of Education and Youth, Concepción Rivero, explains in a note that 505 places are offered with three types of scholarships: linguistic immersion, impulse and dual, with which students will spend in the chosen country between four and fifteen weeks to study language.

Language immersion scholarships can be held in Ireland, Canada or France for 105 days.

The students will have homestay accommodation, will attend an educational center of the public network of the destination country and those who complete the third year of ESO during the 2021/2022 school year may apply for this scholarship.

Impulse scholarships are developed with online studies in English, French or German during the 2022/2023 school year and are aimed at the fourth level of ESO.

They also include a stay of a minimum of four weeks in Ireland, Canada, France or Germany, depending on the language chosen, in the vacation period after the completion of the course. Those who study the third year of ESO during the 2021/2022 school year may apply for this scholarship.

Dual 4 scholarships, with combined face-to-face and online characteristics, are aimed at obtaining the Bachelor’s degree from the United States or Canada in parallel to Spanish, with which both degrees will be obtained.

They may be requested by those who, during the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 school periods, study the first and second levels of Baccalaureate respectively. They include a stay of a minimum of four weeks in the corresponding country, during the summer holidays between the two Baccalaureate courses.

Those who study fourth of ESO during the 2021/2022 school year will be eligible for this scholarship.

The insular director of Education and Youth, Isabel Bello, encourages “all students on the island who meet the requirements to apply for these scholarships, since it is not only an opportunity to learn a language abroad, but it will also represent a great life experience “.
