The CD Tenerife affiliate obtained its first victory outside the sports city Javier Pérez by defeating CD Vera on the 5th day of the Canary Islands 3rd Division group (0-2). Goals from Lie and Eleder gave the Blue and Whites the victory against a Vera who lost his undefeated condition.
Tenerife B were better positioned on the pitch and had clearer ideas than their rival. For its part, Adonay’s team was not at all fine in attack, although in the distribution of occasions the two teams were very even, with more success for the subsidiary, which achieved 0-2 and took three important points from a field complicated like Salvador Ledesma.
The beginning of the game left the best combinations and the control of the ball for the group of ‘Mazinho’, who at fourteen minutes had the first opportunity to open the scoring, when Lie of a strong shot sent the ball out. After half an hour, Dylan threw a powerful free kick to which goalkeeper Edwin responded with a good intervention.
The clearest chance for the portuense team came in the 38th minute after a cross by Jorge Hernández that Andy touched lightly on the goal, leaving for very little.
After an exchange of blows, the visitor’s first goal came in the 41st minute, in a commotion inside the area that was not cleared by Vera’s defense, Lie caught the ball near the goal and sent the ball into the net. With the nervousness in the local players to see themselves from behind on the scoreboard, it was time to break.
Those of Adonay Martín in search of the tie came out very well after the rest and dominated the situation during the first section, but as the minutes passed, the blue and white team was taking control of the game again.
The subsidiary’s dominance paid off and after a good combination in attack, Lie assisted for Eleder, who made it 0-2 in the 58th minute with a good shot at mid-range against which Edwin could do nothing.
In the 60th minute Dani Muni was able to close the gap, but the ball narrowly missed. Later, in the 65th minute, a Makana header made Medina shine with a great save.
During the last moments of the match, Vera would look for a goal to get into the game, but both the defense and the Tenerife B goalkeeper did everything possible to keep the scoreboard from moving.
