Latest news on the La Palma volcano

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Oct. 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The latest data provided by the Copernicus satellite – as of yesterday at 1:02 p.m. – indicate that there would be 1,074 buildings affected by the eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano, 946 of them destroyed and 128 damaged.

There are also 33.2 kilometers of roads that have been disabled on the LP-2, LP-212, LP-211 and LP-213 roads, while the extension of the wash is already 397.5 hectares.

Also, yesterday the wash broke the last irrigation connection that existed in the town of El Remo, which supplied water to some 600 hectares of banana trees. In the coming days, the installation of portable desalination plants and tankers will begin.
