“We remain open.” That is the message that Carmen Martínez, head of the oldest hotel establishment in Santa Cruz, the Cejas Pension, wants to send after learning through DIARIO DE AVISOS that the owners of the property in which the pension is located have contacted the Municipal Management of Urban Planning to initiate an expropriation procedure due to cessation of activity. “I am not aware that this expropriation will take place. As a party involved in this issue, nothing has been communicated to me so far, neither by the owners nor by the City Council ”, explained the business tenant.
And, as Urbanismo confirmed to this medium, the owners of the property have initiated an expropriation file for cessation of activity, and they have already been made an offer that exceeds 600,000 euros, an amount that they have appealed in the courts to through an administrative dispute as it is considered insufficient.
