The Tenerife tram will resume the uninterrupted night service from Friday to Saturday between 00.00 and 06.00 hours during the weekends on line 1. The frequencies will be 20 and 30 minutes in the early hours of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
The insular counselor for Mobility and president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, explained that the improvement in the epidemiological situation due to coronavirus on the island and the reactivation of nightlife in the metropolitan area have conditioned the start-up of the service.
In that sense, he pointed out that the trams will circulate every 30 minutes from Friday to Saturday until 06:00 a.m. and in the early mornings from Saturday to Sunday, as well as on holidays, the frequency will be 20 minutes, from 00:00 to 01:00, and from 30 minutes until 06.00 hours. Subsequently, line 1 will operate with the usual daytime frequencies for weekend days as it has been doing up to now.
In addition, users can consult in real time the maximum occupancy of passengers per unit through the web app TranviaOnline, the ten + mobile app and the Metrotenerife website, and on their social networks (Instagram, Facebook and Twitter @tranviatenerife) you can find out about the hours and frequencies of the tram service.
