Dévora explains that “already in the first months of the year 2021 the other block of annual subsidies for the area was convened and resolved, those of a nominative nature, to clubs and sports entities of the municipality, whose amount amounted to 126,100 euros, which adds up to total of 226,100 euros in financial aid in direct support to the practice of local clubs and athletes.
“The budget increase in this item makes clear the recognition of the City of Los Realejos to sport, and represents a more effective and real step in the economic policies in its favor,” says Domínguez. The royal president recalls that royal clubs and athletes have until October 18 to process their applications, “according to some bases, they are already published on the municipal website www.losrealejos.es”.
“The costs that the displacement entails at a competitive level and the diets of those who have to travel to other places to dispute their meetings and competitions are some of the indications established in the bases to justify to access this type of aid”, explains the mayor , who emphasizes the message that “these and these athletes are being constant ambassadors of Los Realejos, showing their faces in sporting events beyond the municipal scope.”
The Councilor for Sports indicates that “in the specific case of these competitive attendance grants, clubs and individual athletes are presented, being valued, according to the bases, by different criteria, such as the merits obtained in the last seasons in competition.”
