SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The first vice-president and councilor of Culture of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Enrique Arriaga, presented this Wednesday, together with the director of Futura Producciones, Antonio Perera, ‘Canarias under the sea’, a documentary series that is constituted as an underwater tourist guide which reveals in detail the seabed of the islands through ten chapters of 35 minutes each.

The series will be broadcast this quarter by La 2 de Televisión Española, the digital platforms that host TVE and the international channel, with a potential audience of more than 450 million viewers per year.

Arriaga has indicated that his area is committed “to Canarian production, new talents and cultural creation in the archipelago and in Tenerife in particular”, and recalled that “the Cabildo has launched a line of subsidies for audiovisuals through of a call that will open shortly and that has a budget that exceeds 350,000 euros “.

“We know that the audiovisual sector is an important business niche for the island that we should not underestimate, therefore, we want to promote island production by supporting the local sector,” he said.

In addition, he highlighted “the important tourist attraction that this documentary series will become when it is broadcast internationally,” since it is a 35-minute long spot that includes the most striking landscapes of each island in the archipelago.

In the presentation, Perera appreciated that the documentary series “is a one hundred percent Canarian product that will go around the world.” “We will be the first production company that has placed a series with 10 chapters in the entire TVE network, the most important network in the world in Spanish,” he said.

The series is a guide designed for the diver, recorded in 4K, in which the characteristics of the dive are located and detailed with indications such as, for example, indicating the depth, the water temperature or whether it is accessed from the sea or from land , information to which is added a catalog of the fish in those funds.
