The City Council of La Guancha announces that next Monday, October 4, its Sports Department, led by Verónica Domínguez (PP), will resume the programming of the municipality’s sports schools. After all activities were suspended in 2020 due to the health situation caused by Covid-19, Guanchera families with children between the ages of 6 and 12 can now enroll their children in the five disciplines that are offered. : karate, basketball, aerobics, canarian wrestling and rhythmic gymnastics. The area, in collaboration with the Guancha Sports Club and the Los Osos Rugby Club, recalls that grassroots football and rugby are also offered.
Verónica Domínguez points out that this year a new feature is being introduced regarding registrations that “will have to be formalized through a link that families will find on the municipal website.” The mayor emphasizes “all current health regulations on prevention will be strictly complied with, taking into account the levels decreed by the Government of the Canary Islands at all times.” A dozen monitors will be in charge of the development of the campaign until May 2022.
