The resurfacing of the TF-1 continues: These are the detours for the next week

As of Tuesday, the resurfacing will be carried out in a new section between Costa Adeje and Playa Paraíso, the Island Council reported this Saturday.

The first vice president and counselor of Roads, Enrique Arriaga, said it is a “fundamental” action for the road safety of the TF-1, with which the asphalt of 40 kilometers of this high-occupancy road is improved.

The works in the Tenerife South airport area will be carried out during the nights of Sunday and Monday, while those that affect the section included between Costa Adeje and Playa Paraíso will take place between Tuesday and Thursday, also at night.

During these days, the Cabildo will inform through social networks about the detours enabled for the affected links, which will include 59 to the airport; the 76 towards Costa Adeje, Torviscas / Playa Fañabé; the 78 towards Costa Adeje / La Caleta / Fañabé; the 79 from the entrance to Adeje, the 79B towards Las Nieves / Los Olivos; and the 81 towards Los Menores / Armeñime / Playa Paraíso.

In addition, the circulation alternatives will be adequately signaled.

In the period between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., there will be only one lane for each direction. These detours cover a larger section, before and after the work.

These are the works:

On Sunday, September 19, the improvement works will be carried out in the slow lane and on the outer shoulder between kilometer points 60.2 and 61.

The next day the same area will be performed, completing the surface of the fast lane and the inner shoulder.

On the night of Tuesday 21 the works will include the area between kilometer 75.8 and 76.6 and will continue on Wednesday 22 until 77.5.

This week’s resurfacing will end on Thursday 23 at kilometer 78.4.

The resurfacing work on TF-1, carried out by Sacyr, will last around 14 months and will comprise about 40 kilometers of the road between Adeje and Arico.
