Pedro Martín adds that the entities that are incorporated belong to the field of tourist intermediation, cafeterias, language tourism, experiences at the destination and commerce. And he emphasizes that these are “companies whose work has been interrupted by the health situation, and that, together with those that were already part of the program, will begin to receive advice from Tenerife Tourism Excellence, an entity that has been working from the beginning. of the program promoted by the Consortium ».

The manager of Tenerife Tourism Excellence, Juan Carlos Lorenzo, indicates that the challenge for the future is “to try to reillusion companies that continue to bet on improvement and the need to adapt certain activities to the situation in which they live in a particular way. This is currently the case, since we are trying to help some participating companies in previous editions, mainly hotels, in the field of measures to reduce the risk of contagion by Covid-19 ».

At the end of this year 2021, the Portuense Consortium plans to open a new call in which a new group of companies may join. This quality tourism program, which was launched eight years ago, is sometimes open to the participation of “any organization interested in certain training and information sessions, in order to add value to the companies of the tourist destination.”
