SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –

An agent of the National Police belonging to the Provincial Police Station of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and off duty recently prevented the suffocation of a 65-year-old man in the tourist area of the Algarve.

The agent, who was eating in a restaurant with his partner, observed a man in his 60s with signs of suffocation, possibly due to some food he had eaten.

Quickly, he grabbed the man from behind and performed the Heimlich maneuver, preventing him from suffocating, and was able to fully recover from the choking he suffered.
