The Canary Islands have added 121 new positive cases of coronavirus and four deaths on Wednesday – the total reaches 964 -, bringing the total number of infections since the pandemic started reaches 93,775, according to the balance of data that each updates the Ministry of Health.
The archipelago has 5,317 active cases (-250), of which 54 are in the ICU (+1) and 257 hospitalized in the ward (+1).
The deceased belong to the island of Tenerife and they are three men of 93, 65 and 55 years old, and a woman of 61 years old, all with previous pathologies and in hospital admission
By islands, Tenerife adds 47 new cases this Wednesday, which brings the accumulated to 44,961 and 5,317 active, and Gran Canaria, another 41, which means 35,888 accumulated and 3,214 active.
Fuerteventura scores 18 positives and raises the accumulated to 4,274, with 282 active, and Lanzarote, another 12, in such a way that the total infected are 6,707 and the active ones, 77.
For its part, La Palma adds one more case and reaches 1,090, with 9 assets and La Gomera another two, which brings the accumulated to 402 and 4 assets.
El Hierro does not register new cases this Wednesday and has 452 accumulated and two active.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 34.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 76.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Until this Wednesday, a total of 2,067,181 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 5,124 were carried out this Tuesday.
