The Cabildo de Tenerife announced this Tuesday the tender for the conservation and landscape improvement services of the green areas of the island roads in the west of the island for a total amount of 4,814,003.50 euros.
In total, the services being tendered include the conservation and landscape improvement of a total area of 466,066 square meters for three years.
The first vice-president and insular counselor for Roads, Enrique Arriaga, indicates in a note that “from the Cabildo a great investment effort is made to achieve a greater landscape integration of the green areas associated with the island’s road network, homogenizing its aesthetics and facilitating the subsequent maintenance of the surfaces, with a sustainable management of the resources used in the conservation and improvement of said areas “.
Thus, he points out that “part of the work will include reducing soil erosion, eliminating invasive plant species and using ornamental flora species with great environmental adaptability, in order to integrate the roads into the landscape, thus facilitating their maintenance.”
The insular director of Roads, Tomás Félix García, recalls that “in December of last year the Cabildo awarded the contracts for the improvement of the north, south and metropolitan areas, for 8.1 million euros.”
Carreteras carries out the maintenance and conservation of the green areas of the entire island with teams distributed in four areas: north, south, metropolitan and west.
