SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 12 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The secretary general of Cs, Marina Bravo, has claimed the “liberal space” for her training in Spanish politics and has demanded reforms after a health crisis and in the face of an economic crisis so that Spain “progresses” and takes advantage of the aid that will arrive of the European Union.
This was made clear this Sunday during statements to the media before a meeting with affiliates and supporters of Tenerife together with the Secretary of Organization, Borja González, and the coordinator of Cs Canarias, Enrique Arriaga.
“This visit is part of the journey we are taking throughout the territory to revitalize this Cs project that we believe is more necessary than ever in our country,” he said.
Bravo explained that the party had an “exciting” moment with the Convention last July, where Citizens claimed the liberal space, “a space that already exists in Europe and that is very concrete, defined and different from the socialist and conservative space “.
Now, the general secretary has advocated for extending this demand for Spain when she thinks that it is the “key” in the new stage of the party.
Asked about the importance of her party regaining a more leading role, Bravo recalled that it is emerging from a health crisis but that there is an economic crisis and another “almost country”.
“A territorial crisis – he continued – where we have a government that only feeds inequalities and nationalism”, to place special emphasis on the need to carry out reforms that neither the PSOE nor the PP have done so that Spain “Make progress and do not fall behind the surrounding countries.”
GONZÁLEZ: THE GOAL IS TO “ADD FORWARD”
For his part, the Secretary for Organization, Borja González, pointed out that the objective is to “add forward”, aspiring in this new political course to “reissue” what the party has done well throughout the territory.
“Cs is a party that was born based on needs, such as the fight against nationalism and against the fact that the PP and PSOE never fulfill what they promise when they govern. And today those needs are more in force than ever,” he said.
Finally, the coordinator of Cs Canarias, Enrique Arriaga, understood that everything that has to do with the electoral campaign that will take place in two years must be planned from now on “and make it clear that Ciudadanos is present, very alive and that they want to occupy that space in the center”.
