SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Sep 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Most of the residents of the fifteen houses that had to be evicted late in the afternoon this Saturday due to a forest fire that started near the fairgrounds, in the Pinolere area of the municipality of La Orotava (Tenerife), have been able to return to their homes.
However, according to the Cabildo, they will have to be aware of possible indications from the authorities although the work of the air and ground means that work against the fire is reducing its intensity.
After the fire broke out this afternoon, the Brifor, Tenerife Firefighters and Environment personnel, as well as members of the Civil Guard, Local Police and Civil Protection came to the place to collaborate in the device deployed to smother the flames.
In addition, 112 Canary Islands media from other islands have been requested from the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) and the Red Cross was activated preventively.
