The ground media continue to work on the Pinolere fire while the air assets are withdrawn as night falls.

Firefighters of the park located in La Orotava, in the north of Tenerife, and the Forestry Brigade of the Cabildo de Tenerife are acting in a forest fire declared this Saturday in some farms located in the Pinolere neighborhood, near the fairgrounds and in an area populated. In fact, 15 homes were evacuated during the afternoon due to the proximity of the flames. However, minutes before 8:00 p.m., the Cabildo de Tenerife reported that the favorable evolution of the fire and the coordinated action of the air and ground means had allowed these people to return to their homes, although pending the messages of the authorities since the fire is not controlled.

The ground troops continue to intervene in the place, although the air means have withdrawn with the arrival of night. The Cabildo de Tenerife has requested means of reinforcement from other islands.

The President of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported that the fire has gone from being an outbreak to being a level 1 forest fire while the Cabildo indicated in the middle of the afternoon that there is a second source, but that it has lost intensity thanks to the work of the aerial means.

In the place are also agents of the Civil Guard, as well as the Local Police and Civil Protection. There are also environmental agents and two technicians.

At the moment, as reported by the Cabildo de Tenerife on Twitter, the extent of the fire is unknown.

The great column of smoke from this fire is well visible from much of the Orotava Valley, as the numerous images that different people are sharing on social networks are showing.
